U3A membership

The Third
Age is a time of creativity and fulfillment for older people no
longer in full time work.
We usually
meet on the 1st Friday of the month at St Oswald's Church
Hall at 2.30pm.
The meeting
is for all current members and those who want to find out more.

N.B. In future,
rather than Group Leaders announcing details, we intend to have
notice boards for each group where we hope they will display news

Visits
Although
a number of Study Groups organise visits to places of specialist
interest connected with their subject areas, it is hoped that
we may be able to run occasional trips that are of general interest.
Visit
to Bletchley Park We had a successful trip to Bletchley
Park on Thursday 7th April.

Films
at the Cinebowl, Uttoxeter
CHEADLE (Staffs)
U3A organise special showings and are happy for members of other
local U3As to join them.
Tickets are
normally £3.60 each and are purchased immediately beforehand;
but can also be obtained in the days immediately prior to the
showing by personally calling at the Cinebowl - (after
4 pm on weekdays or 10 am at weekends). Members are requested
to arrive at least 15 min. before the start time to ensure a prompt
start. You are advised to take your U3A membership card, which
may be requested to prove eligibility for attendance.
The Cinebowl
is located next to the Tesco store and has some dedicated car
parking. Parking is also permitted in the adjacent store car parks
although it is advisable to avoid the Tesco car park.
