The Music Group
meets on the last Friday of the month at 10 a.m. New people are
always welcome: we try to cater for a wide range of musical tastes,
being led by what members want to do, and we go to concerts that
promise to be enjoyable and viable several times a year. We are
always happy to see new members at our monthly meetings.
Change
of venue
Our
next meeting will be on Friday, 27th January at10 am, at the
Community Transport room (as the new venue – the
Peak Gateway are refurbishing their meeting rooms), when we’ll
look at the last act of “L’Elisir d’Amore”
(DVD) and see what Robert Greenberg has to say about 19th century
opera, too.
The concert
in Nottingham on Feb. 9th draws nearer: the bus for the Feb. 9th
concert leaves the bus station at 5.45 Perhaps those going to it
would let me have their £21.60’s when convenient. (Cheques
to Ashbourne and District U3A, please.)
The next meeting
– still in the Community Transport room, note – will
be on Friday, Feb. 24th at 10 am. We’ll take a break from
DVD’s: please bring in CD’s of “Music that means
something special” to you. All are welcome.
Anyone interested
