The Family History Group

We have been meeting once a month since January of last year. The meetings normally take place at my house, 5 Margery Close, Ashbourne on the second Thursday of the month. This allows me to make use of my Internet connection and my subscription to Ancestry, and to project the information from my computer screen directly to the television screen so that everyone can see what I'm doing.

The family history group was a year old in January. We are still a small group but everyone in the group has got started on their family history and made progress. We had some new members join us at our January meeting, and I hope they will catch the bug!

Our next meeting is on Thursday 14th June at 2.30pm at the Community Transport room King Edward Street. This will take the form of a talk by Vivien on the differences between researching your genealogy in England and in France. All U3A members are welcome whether or not they usually attend the Family History group sessions.

New members very welcome. I can be contacted on 01335 342668, e-mail link below.
