The Craft Group

A meeting was held in May 2011 to discuss the possibility of starting a craft group. The seven members present considered what crafts would be of interest; quite a list was put forward – Pillow Lace, Crochet, Acrylic flowers, Painting, Knitting, Embroidery, Peg Dolls, Cross Stitch and Grafting (knitting not plants!).

After an enjoyable experience making acrylic flowers we have moved on to knitting a farmyard! Having commenced the farmyard - the size has amazed us - we now have to ask if you have any spare wool 3 or 4 ply or double knit in green, beige or brown to help us create this ‘work of art’ to be completed and given to a selected Charity? The farm complete with stock is beginning to take shape and we find it an active social activity for all.
