The Computer & Digital Photography Group

The Computer Group meets at the Adult Education Centre, Cokayne Avenue, Ashbourne.

The group will re-start on Monday 13th September at 9.30 am.
So if you wish to be involved whether you
                          · Are a complete beginner at using a computer
                          · Wish to know how to get more out of your digital camera
                          · Want to improve your surfing of the Internet
                          · Are a experienced JavaScript programmer and would like to pass on your skills
then you are welcome as either a new or existing member of the group.
Contact either Jim Hudson 345629 or Vic Needham 345142

We have in the past operated as 2 smaller sub groups
          • those interested in working with digital cameras and image manipulation on their computers
          • members who want to learn & to practise general computer techniques e.g. word processing, email, internet.

However we are not restricted to the above topics;  do you have a computer that you would like to make more use of ?  If so why not come along and see if we can help you learn new techniques or overcome the problems you are encountering.  In the spirit of the U3A  " Share what you know - learn what you don't ".

For more details please contact Vic Needham.

If you feel you would benefit from attending more formal tuition in the use of computers then the DCC Adult Education courses guide is now out.   Pick up a copy at the Library or Adult Education Centre (both on Cokayne Avenue).   For Sept 2010 there are 15 different classes / courses at Ashbourne ranging from absolute beginners to more advanced level 2. Individual subjects are also catered for and include digital cameras, email and web page design.    See our Local Links page for more contact details.
